Cart Shed House Animal Care (CSHAC) Terms and Conditions

 

General Ts&Cs:

By signing the booking form for animal care or dog walking services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These may change slightly from time to time. An up-to-date version is available on our website www.cartshedhouseanimlcare.co.uk.

  • CSHAC is fully insured for pet sitting and dog walking services and DBS checked (a copy of related documents is available on request).

  • CSHAC will take all appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of your pet, including seeking advice from a vet if necessary.

  • CSHAC is not responsible for any loss or damage incurred to the pet/ dog or property whilst in our care.

  • The pet/ dog owner will ensure that all appropriate vaccinations and insurances are in place and up to date.

  • In the event of an emergency, CSHAC will make every effort to contact the owner in the first instance. However, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your pet’s health and take the advice of a vet. The pet owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred by CSHAC.

  • Covid – CSHAC will cancel any pet care or dog walking for the 10 day period following a positive covid test. All appropriate measures will be taken whilst in your home or walking your dog, such as handwashing, hand gel and face mask where appropriate. Please advise if any member of your household has tested positive or has symptoms before your dog walk/ pet care commences.

 

Dog Walking:

 

  • The dog owner will advise if the dog is allowed off lead before the first walk commences.

  • The dog owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked on or off lead (as agreed).

  • The dog walker is not to be held accountable for vet fees or third party claims whilst your dog is in our care.

  • The dog owner is to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic regarding your dog in terms of behavioural or health concerns before the dog walker undertakes any walks.

  • Regular dog walking will be invoiced in arrears on or around the last day of the month. One off or occasional dog walking will be invoiced within a few days of the services. Payment within 30 days of the date of issue is required. We reserve the right to add a late payment charge of £2 a day for every additional day over the 30 day payment period.

  • Cancellation – If you cancel your dog walking services for any reason less than 24 hours before the walk is due to commence, the full charge for the walk will apply. If you cancel with between 24 and 48 hours notice, a half charge will apply. More than 48 hours’ notice will not incur a charge. This includes but is not limited to, occasions where the dog walker arrives at a property to find the dog and/ or owners are not there, or the dog is not able to/ required to be walked for any reason.

  • CSHAC reserves the right to amend a dog walk due to extreme weather conditions (i.e. we may suggest playing with the dog inside or in the garden in the event or very wet/ cold/ hot conditions if we feel it is in the best interest of the dog). The usual charge will apply.

  • CSHAC reserves the right to cancel a dog walk in the event of dog walker’s illness. An alternative time/ date will be offered where practical. No charge will be incurred by dog owner.

 

Pet care:

 

  • The pet owner will provide all appropriate food, bedding and toys for the pet for the duration of their care. If additional supplies need to be purchased by CSHAC, this will be added to the invoice.

  • The pet owner will make full disclosure of any behavioural traits or concerns that per care provider may need to be aware of before any booking in undertaken.

  • Regular pet care will be invoiced in arrears on or around the last day of the month. One off or occasional pet care will be invoiced within a few days of the services. Payment within 30 days of the date of issue is required. We reserve the right to add a late payment charge of £2 a day for every additional day over the 30 day payment period.

  • Cancellation – If you cancel your pet care services for any reason less than 7 days before the pet care period is due to commence, half of the pet care charge will apply.
